Change of Mentality Towards Entrepreneurship

If you put Bananas and Money in front of Monkeys, Monkeys will choose Bananas because they do not know that Money can buy more of Bananas. This analogy Applies to a good number of men and women in the world.If you offer  Jobs and Business to people, majority will choose Jobs  because they do not know that business brings more bananas than wages.Today
the world is becoming poor and poor because we More consumers rather than producers. Similarly, we are poor because we chose wages instead of entrepreneurship. In my research, I realize that many countries in the world are poor; extremely poor, undeveloped simply because people chose wages rather than creating profit. 

We go to schools, colleges and universities to be trained on how to work for wages. Our colleges prepare job seekers rather than job creators.If we need to go far, we must be profit oriented people. Wages does very little. It only sustains us. How many times per year do civil servants in Kenya strike for salary increment? Many times. I do believe, even after increment, the salary will never be enough for them. I don't think Kenya will ever stop strikes unless there is a change in the way people think. Strike actually is the only fruit that wages brings forth so to say. When I analyze situation in the developed countries, I do realize that the far they have gone is generated by entrepreneurship mentality. The best example is China, USA, Japan and other developed countries. 

Africans in deed, we have become authors of our own misfortune. We work to sustain ourselves. That's why development is our dream that will never be materialized unless we change our mentality of looking at things. We have been consumers in the ages simply because we have never discovered the treasure hidden in entrepreneurship. We have in Africa thousands of Teachers, Engineers,Nurses,Doctors, Journalists and so forth compared to Entrepreneurs. The Europeans and Asians produce and bring to us for consumption. What do we produce if not workers for wages? As i speak now, millions of youngsters are in the colleges and universities under training to work for salaries.

Today when I look at the world's momentum, the richest men and women in the world are all entrepreneurs. Take for instance Jack Ma; the richest man in China. Today Donald Trump is not paid as the president of United States of America because he is an entrepreneur. He does not need wages because entrepreneurship brings all that he needs. Alice Walton; the richest woman in the world is an entrepreneur.

I call upon for the change of mentality and to tune our students  in the colleges and universities, civil servants,the government, and all seekers for development to entrepreneurship mindset.  This is the only way forward for development. We need to give the youngsters skill for investment rather that academic papers. The only challenge in our schools, colleges and universities is that they have become paper oriented. I look forward for the days when young men and women will equip themselves with skills of investments. I look forward for the days when young men and women will be prepared to produce rather than becoming consumers. I look forward to see Kenya free from strikes due to low salaries. I look forward for that day when people will discover the hidden treasure in the entrepreneurship. I look forward for the generation with profit oriented mentality rather than wages mentality. I Look forward for these days.
